GAME
n° 1 :
The concept of the game is very simple. As the show starts, host Regis
Philbin asks 10 guests a question and they must put answers in the right
order. The participant that gets all right the fastest is invited to go
and play the game. Then, he is asked questions and gets more money each
time he gets it right ($100, $200, $300, $500, $1,000, $2,000, $4,000,
$8,000, $16,000, $32000, $64,000, $125,000, $250,000, $500,000 and 1 million
dollars). The participant loses all his money if he answers a question
wrong. Also, the participant that reaches $1,000 and $32,000 is assured
to go away with at least that much money.
Finally, to add to the excitement, the participant gets 3 lifelines. He
may ask the audience to vote to help, he can ask for two of the four answers
to be taken out and eventually he can call a friend.
GAME n° 2 :
Six participants are put around host Anne Robinson and must each answer
questions in 6 rounds. Each time they get a good answer, they have a possibility
of accumulating money. At the end of each round, participants must vote
off one of their members until the last round arrives and only two participants
are left. They work together to build up the amount of money and then
face each other to see who will go away with all the money and who will
have nothing.
GAME n° 3 :
In this game, developed by CBS, 16 participants are sent out to a location
(Africa, for example) where they are divided into two tribes of 8 members.
They compete one tribe against the other and each 3 days there is an immunity
. The losing tribe must vote off one of their members. They do this procedure
until 10 members are left. Then, the two tribes merge and everyone is
on its own as every show has a reward challenge and an immunity challenge.
The reward challenge winner will get a “cool” reward, often
food while the winner of the immunity will be assured to not be voted
off. So every 3 days, one member is voted off by the tribe until only
2 are left. Then, the last seven members to have been voted off vote for
the winner of 1 million dollars.
GAME n° 4 :
This is a very funny game played with both celebrities and participants.
The host is Tom Bergeron. At every show, 9 celebrities are placed in a
huge kind of square and participants must choose a celebrity to answer
a question. After the answer is said, the participant must say if he/she
believes the answer is right or not. If the participant is right in his
prediction, he gets to put an X or an O on the board and they continue
trying to get a tic-tac-toe.
